    [REQ]MMOPro 3.3.0a repack 2 Install Tutorial

    Register to remove this ad
I want to manually install the repack using the "lightdb.sql" file that's archived in the repack. I'm not a fan of the pseudo-xampp used to run the repack on localhost and I want to have full control on the install and setup.

Can someone guide me through the steps of the install?

    Tools to use:
    MySQL Community Server (installed)
    Navicat/SQLyog (installed)
    latest DBCs
    maps/vmaps (I have those)

    ======================

You will say: "What a noob!! Can't you use the search function? Noob..."

I've read all sorts of ascent/arcemu/ tutorials, but in all of those, in the install process, there were mentions of two db needed to be created:
    world
    logon

How can I manually install these files?:
    lightDB.sql (huge size)
    20_character_structure.sql
    3055_world_structure.sql

    ======================
You will say again: Foolish naab! What's wrong with the repack? Just click on the fkin mysql.bat and play.

I don't like the xampp feature, since it doesn't provide the necessary security I need.

    <<End of self-criticism>>

Please help me out guys. Thnx in advance.

to manually install any db you can
    use an importer,,

    how to use importer,,

    1. install to repack any directory except not
    in the server directory,,

    run the RDB Installation.bat

    2. fill out mysql information

    localhost
    3306
    root
    ascent
    world name = world
    characters name = none
    logon name = none

    3. press w to install world db

    copy all files to development/world

and rename world db to database,,

    DOWNLOAD NOW!

oh i put some instructions in the importer

    credits rdb

I understood you guide and I thank you for it.

But the only error I get whenever I import any db is this one:
".... data too long for column x for row y"
    and then a simple
    "Press any key to continue"
--> the whole importing process stops after receiving this error.

What am I supposed to do? I really want to install the db.
Is there any possible resolve by editing the .bat file setting?

mysql needs to be running and
    or there is something wrong
    with the db?

and there has to be an empty
    db to import to,,

make sure the db you want to import
from is located in the world folder
    and it is called database.sql
