To understand the origin of applause as a form of expression, we must go back to the times in which Europe was covered with ice and our ancestors hunted mammoths. At the time when tribal members could bring down one of these monstrous pachyderms, it was customary to give strong head between them, to express their joy. But the chief of the tribe thought the dry "toc toc" clash of heads were not particularly impressive, apart from giving some headaches staggering.Therefore, he called to his cave "man of ideas," which was a sort of ancestor of advertising, even in a version without the braces and glasses colored mass, and asked him to arrange a replacement for the ritual of head butts. The "man of ideas" began interviewing tribal members with questions like "If the ritual of the head was a river stone, which would be kind of stone?" And, after many turns, concluded that this could be replaced by shock of the palms.

The next day, the tribe and cornered a small mammoth hit him with a shower of spears, which so impressed a young hunter that decided never to eat meat and vegetarian so was born the first of mankind. But that's another story. What matters is that after the slaughter of the little mammoth, the chief of the tribe and the "man of ideas" energetically applauded hoping to emulate his companions, except that they do not want to know modernices and limited themselves to change the usual headers ...



This was followed by an advertising campaign of the "man of ideas", in which he clapped when one could catch a fish or particularly tasty when lit the campfire at the first attempt, but not members of the tribe called you all. Finally, when the tribal chief and the "man of ideas" had given up hope, the gloves were invented and some members of the tribe began to applaud only as an expression of contentment. Until the day came in which was the largest mammoth shot in the region and all members of the tribe applauded ...Except the young vegetarian, who gave some firecrackers with the language, to demonstrate their disapproval by that barbaric act.
