    Bug fixing

I wanted to try my hand at fixing some of the bugs I've found on the repack I'm using. I have not done this before, but I do have other coding experience. What tools do I need to do so and could someone provide a link for such tools? I read up on some stuff regarding a DBC editor, but I'm not sure if that is what I need. Please don't flame this post, I am really just trying to get into doing this.

BTW: The filter on the title of the thread is ridiculous. I can't use any feasible "common" words to describe what it is I want to do? Awesome....

ArcEmu should have a tutorial on how to compile your own from source, go to arcemu and read their wiki.

I've already done the compiling part of it. Any idiot can compile their own server. I want to go to the next step and be able to modify specific things on the server (no, not the crap you modify in the worldserver.conf file....) and attempt to fix things that most people haven't gotten working yet. I'm talking about modifying the dbc files, either by converting to csv to edit in excel or whatever, to actually do something to the server.
