Thread: [Release] Arena Tournament 2009 Server

The "repack" is based on blizzard's official Arena Tournament event that was hosted last year.
For those of you who don't know what it is, see this:

It's basically a realm where people start at max level, get free gold, full epics and do arenas/battlegrounds.

NPCs, objects, items etc are all the same except there are only 2 starting locations instead of 8. Alliances start in Stormwind and Horde starts in Orgrimmar.

Here's some basic info:

• Arena system fully working, including ratings etc
• All vendors from blizzard's Arena Tournament event:
  
  • Enchantments vendor
  • Gem vendor
  • Cloth, leather, mail & plate vendors
  • Weapons vendor
  • General goods vendors (food, reagents, mounts etc)
  • Paymaster
  • Beastmaster
• All class trainers from blizzard's Arena Tournament event
• Also normal arena vendors spawned (season 3 and 4)
• Healing lightwell spawned at dueling zones, click on it to gain full HP and mana, only usable outside combat/duel
• Server and database are optimized to reduce lag (scripts moved to core, old DB spawns removed, unused maps will be disabled in upcoming updates)

• New characters starts with:
  
  • All their class spells
  • 5000 gold, more gold can be received from the Paymaster NPC
  • Max Riding skill
  • Max First aid skill
  • 4x 20 slot bags

• Hunters gets a free pet at the beastmaster NPC (choose between 16 pets)
  
  • New pets start with 50,000 training points, full happiness and loyalty level 6

Notes:
This is currently for client 2.4.3 only!


Server based on:
MaNGOS 7130, 0,12 branch
UDB 0.10.5

Even if you've never used MaNGOS you should not worry, the included bat file makes it very easy to create the databases and import the SQL data (assuming you have MySQL installed). Read the small guide below for more info.

Basic installation guide

1. Install MySQL if you haven't already: Download
2. Open up ServerSettings.conf and change to your mysql password: (you can edit other server settings as well in this file)
   Code:

   WorldDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;PASSWORD;arena_world"
   CharacterDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;PASSWORD;arena_characters"
   
   
   
   • Do the same with RealmSettings.conf
3. Copy Maps_DBC.exe from the Tools folder to your WoW folder (2.4.3 client!) and run it. It will extract DBC and map files.
4. Move the maps and dbc to the DATA folder in the server folder
5. Run DatabaseImporter.bat (Tools folder) and import all the databases
6. Click .exe files to start the server. Type "help" in console to see all console commands for account creation etc.
