There is 3 ways to make you'r server puplic

1. HAMACHI
2. LAN
3. Internet



To all the stepps i recomend to turn of you'r computers firewal.

1. Hamachi
You need hamachi: Download HAMACHI (https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi/list.asp)
When you have downloaded and instaled hamachi you need to create
a hamchi group and obtain your hamachi IP.
Write down your hamachi IP.

Connect to your Database with SQLYog or a similar program.
Download SQL Yog (http://www.webyog.com/en/download_form.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.webyog.com% 2Fdownloads%2FSQLyog713EntTrial.exe)

When you are connected to your sql database press the "+" sign on your
realmd database (as defult it's named realmd)
press your left mouse buttom on the realmlist table
and press F11

You will se se a cople of fields "ID,NAME,ADDRESS,PORT,ICON,COLOR" and
many more.
The only one you have to care about is "adress"
That is the adress of the server
put your Hamchi IP in the field, and press the save buttom.

Now start your server and change your realmlist.wtf in your wow client folder

Play and have fun :D



2. LAN

First make shure all the computers are in the same LAN (Local Area Network)

For this step you need to get your lan IP
And there many ways, one is by the Command Promt (CMD)
One way to open CMD is to Press WINDOWS+R
and then write cmd and press enter

Now you will se a black window
type ipconfig and press enter
Now you will se prety mutch text
write down the numbers who are after the text IP-adress
on the network card who are connected to the network if
you got more than one

Now connect to your SQL Database and press the "+" sign
on the database "realmd" (your realm database)
press your left mouse buttom on the table realmlist
and press F11
You will se some fields
"ID,NAME,ADDRESS,PORT,ICON,COLOR"
and many more

In the field under adress type your LAN-IP
the one you wrote down earlier.

Now start your server and change your realmlist.wtf in your wow client folder

Play and have fun :D



3. Internet

first you need to get your internet ip one good page is: What Is My IP Address? - IP Address Lookup, Internet Speed Test, IP Info, plus more (http://whatismyip.com)
write down your IP.

Now you need to forward some ports one your raouter
you have to look in your manual to the raouter to se how.

If i remeber right the ports you need to open is


80 :for your web page
3306 :SQL
3724 :realm server port
8085 :world server port
3443 :remote acces port (optional)

I think that was al the ports

But the easiest way and the one i preffer is to set your
computer as DMZ in the raouter
That option open all port on your computer.
And if your Mom and Dad want to know that option
don't affect the other computers youst the computer
with that IP or MAC-adress you signed to be DMZ

now connect to your SQL Database with SQL Yog or whatever you use.
Press the "+" sign on the realmd database
Press your left mouse buttom on the realmlist table
and press F11

You will se some rows
"ID,NAME,ADDRESS,PORT,ICON,COLOR"
and mutch more.

In the field under Address type your
internet ip (the one you wrote down earlier and press the save buttom.

Now start your server and change your realmlist.wtf in your wow client folder

Play and have fun :D

Just wondering, can you host your server on the internet only if you DO NOT have a wireless connection? I've tried port forwarding but it has always failed and tells me that the page that I'm looking for does not exist.

you can host a server both with wireless and cable
but i prefer cable to mutch problem with wireless!
also make shure you have configurate apache right!
