I believe I have found the problem for those of us that are getting this error.
2010-04-07 20:41:07 ERROR:Check existing of map file './maps/0004331.map': not exist!
2010-04-07 20:41:07 ERROR:Correct *.map files not found in path './maps' or *.vmap/*vmdir files in './vmaps'. Please place *.map/*.vmap/*.vmdir files in appropriate directories or correct the DataDir value in the mangosd.conf file.
Step 1: Place ad.exe (no sure when to download it so if someone can help with this) into your wow folder. This is normally located at ..../program files/world of warcraft. Then run ad.exe. Depending on your computer this could take a while, so please be patient.

Step 2: Once this has been completed you need to go REMOVE the Maps folder the MaNGOS Server folder.

Step 3: Place the new maps folder that was made using the ad.exe inside ManGOS Server folder.

Step 4: Try to rerun the server.
Step 5: I'm new to all this but this has worked for me and Yes I am a very fast learner. If you have any problems then post here, I'll try my best to help.
