The main reason it's blizzlike? Allows people to be more lazy, no need to compile themself and install a database, all they have to do is customize it to work as their own realm ^^,

Howdy guys, been following the forums around for a while just never posted. Not sure if this is the right place to bring this up, but I'm getting issues creating a character; apparently there's some sort of corruption in my character_talents table (according to both Heidi and Mangos's World emulator). I've attempted several measures to make sure it wasn't just me, but I also read through your SQL fix and could not find any indication of adding the right categories for the character_talents table; pulling the file out of the rar again didn't help either, which brought me to the conclusion that the character_talents.frm is somehow corrupted. I wasn't sure if there's something I'm missing here (first-timer on Mangos) so if someone's got another solution please sing out and let the Mangos noob know what he's doing wrong. I've gotten pretty well-versed on the ArcEmu DB structure and I've been learning this stuff as I go along over the past two weeks or so but I've been doing this whole "troubleshooting" thing for a long time now.

Again, not trying to flame you, just wanted to get some clarification and see if I was the only one who had this problem, and if so if anyone knows the fix. K, love you guys and keep doing what you do. I promise just let me get in a few more months of this stuff and you might see a repack from me... well then again maybe not, I'm too much of a perfectionist to release anything that's not flawless lol. Hmmm... maybe that should be a future goal... ok enough rambling, laterz!

DiD you tried to execute this into your char Database ?

Yes I have. I opened the SQL itself and the data I'm missing is not added in that SQL; I've thoroughly checked it and can find no indication of the query writing to the character_talent table. As stated, I know a decent bit about MySQL from my arcemu experiences. I could easily fix the problem if I knew what categories are supposed to go into the table, but again I'm not familiar with Mangos. Does someone have an older version of the same table they can post for me? The specific table is "character_talent" in the Pingue_chars database. If I can get an idea of what general columns to add, I can take it from there (Mangos is very good about reporting database errors in the world emulator).

Thanks Dimman, but I'll manage. I just find it strange that I'm the ONLY one who had this problem when it seemed like there was a problem with the file itself. I'll just download a different 3.3.0 repack, take out the db I need, and fix as necessary.

Problem solved. Had to add a few columns on the 'character' table, and will have to make a couple of other tweaks as well. Was driving me nuts until I really READ the mangosd logs and realized the columns were missing (/facepalm lol). Thanks again for the moral support Dimman :P
