lol, epic. truely none of us can compete with that extreme power. :)

main machine
intel core 2 quad, overclocked ofcourse
evga board, sporting an overclocked fsb
4gb of 2000mhz ddr3
1tb hd, 1 250gb hd
dual 9800gt's, a bit outdated but still running amazingly, they're the rare models with the increased cooling
antec 1200 case sporting 11 fans, im a bit iffy about liquid cooling.
windows 7 ultimate 64bit, i hated vista with a passion and have been running win xp pro 64bit for ages but w7 is quite impressive, a must try if u havent.

secondary/backup/game server machine
intel core 2 quad
another evga board
8gb of 1200mhz ddr2
a standard 250gb hd, soon to be configured with a second for raid 0 (when my project is completed)
a single 9800gt, another rare one with the increased cooling ports
antec 300 illusion case, running 5 fans (ironically cooler than the antec 1200, obviously due to the lack of overclocking on this machine)
windows 7 ultimate 64bit again, will probably take this to an actual server os when my project is complete.

they're both decent and have served my needs well, the rendering power with my main machine is truly amazing though, I work with 3ds max and it renders quick as hell, gotta love quad cores.

I've just bought an Alienware Desktop for over £2,500 lol. Expensive, but capable of playing wow.. just! :P (Well, I'd hope it could play wow at max with crazy specs and costs). I decided to get all those stupid extras I thought would benefit me also. So it's extremely expensive. I'm now waiting for my pay before I can buy anything again.. woo

Will post specs once it arrives.

Alienware is over priced and under powered. Nothing can beat a home pieced together PC.

Nah, if you have the money you can buy a much better PC than you could ever create yourself. I'd spend £10,000 on a PC if I had the money spare. But I like the look of Alienware, extremely good for gaming, and £2500 aint expensive for me, so it's all good.

Any PC that you can buy is trumped by the flexibility of a picking and choosing by a person who is very well versed in hardware. Alienware is only "good" for gaming because that's what they focus in, but if i focused in building a PC for gaming it would be cheaper and more powerful than an Alienware. Even the most expensive Alienware i could build was $8,600. So how do you expect to spend $15,000 or 10,000 pounds on a PC from a manufacture? You can't, the only way you could spend that kind of money is if you custom built your PC. Your argument is invalid.

Well, My computer is about as good as an alienware aurora (which is what I wanted to base my specs off of) but it was $2000 cheaper so ill just stick to making my own lol

Oh and thanks blacklisted I <3 my PC and as for the headphones I love my GaGa's :P

Blacklisted, you obviously have no idea what I was talking about. I did NOT say I would buy a £10,000 PC from a manufactuer. I said I WOULD spend £10000 on a PC. Read before commenting. And yes, I do agree about the part to do with a custom built PC, but I really don't care - I'm lazy, don't have time and really don't care. £2500 is nothing to me, so I'll buy from alienware. You may think it's a waste to spend that sort of money when I could get it cheaper, but money is not the issue, I just want to buy it and get it delivered, no hassle.

Please, read before you comment, it's just a waste of time unless you know what I was meaning.

I did read before commenting. That to me looks like your saying a Manufacture PC is better than one you could create. Sit Down.
